Lori Smith
My name is Lori Smith, and I’ve been a master cosmetologist since 1999. My role model was my stepmother, Dana, who owned her own salon and showed me that a cosmetologist is always needed and appreciated.
One of the highlights of my profession is seeing someone smile when they look in the mirror knowing I’ve made their day better is why I do what I do.

I hold a professional diploma in Additional Needs Support for Autistic and ADHD individuals, specializing in neuro-affirming practices.
I also offer Silent Sessions upon request. These appointments are specifically designed to provide a calmer, low-stimulation environment that is beneficial for children and adults with sensory sensitivities, including Autism, ADHD, and Anxiety. By removing the pressure of social interaction, I aim to make the chair a safe, predictable, and peaceful space for every guest.
The Experience: An environment with minimal "small talk" to reduce auditory overstimulation.
Who it's for: Perfect for neurodivergent clients (Autism/ ADHD), those managing anxiety, or anyone who simply needs a
"brain break."
For Kids: A gentle, focused approach to help children with sensory needs feel comfortable and regulated during their haircut. I utilize silent clippers and methods such as haircut social stories cards and a token system to help children feel more comfortable.
To make every visit as comfortable as possible-especially for my younger clients and those with sensory sensitivities-I've added a personal TV at my station. Whether you're a child who needs their favorite cartoon to feel at ease, or an adult who wants to get lost in a familiar show to ease anxiety, you are always welcome to request what we watch. It's all about creating a space where you feel relaxed and at home.
